My archive.org Collection

On archive.org I have a small collection of scanned books or brochures. Right now I only have 7 uploads and they are in Romanian or English. For convenience I will embed the scanned materials on this page and maybe I will give a short description.

The Dutch and Flemish Cabinet Galleries (National Gallery of Art brochure)

This is a brochure/booklet that I got when I visited the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. in 2019 9I believe) . The brochure covers the topic of Dutch and Flemish cabinet paintings (kabinetstukken) from the 17th century.

ReFocus: Art of the 1980s (Museum of Contemporary Art)

This is a booklet I got from the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Jacksonville, Florida.  I am not a fun of modern art. I probably visited the museum for a class assignment for the History of Art class.

Mic memorator de matematica /Math Pocket Reference Book

This is a Romanian math pocket reference book that I brought from Romania. In Romanian the title is “Mic memorator de matematica” by Gh. Th. Gheorgiu (1973). Unfortunately, Page 37 and page 38 are missing.

I believe that this book was initially bought by my maternal grandfather even before I was born. So this book has a long history with my family.

Olimpiada Jocurilor Rationale / The Olympiad of Rational Games by Nicolae Oprisiu

This is a Romanian recreational math and logic book. The book is similar in nature to “The Moscow Puzzles” by Boris A. Kordemsky.

I did not scan this particular upload. I found a PDF version of the book online and I reuploaded it on Internet Archive. However, I do have the book in Romania.

Ghid de Conversatie Roman-Englez/ Romanian-English phrasebook by Diana Ionita

This is a Romanian-English phrasebook. The best thing about this book is that it uses the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), so you also know how to pronounce the words. The IPA is explained at the beginning of the book. The book can also be used by English speakers to learn Romanian.

Unfortunately, the scanning of the book is not that good. Starting around the middle of the book, the Romanian text is blurred on most of the pages.
